Within these pages, we aim to give you an insight in to the company, our aims and an introduction to the drivers associated with us.

We are located on the North Wales Coast, between Rhyl and Towyn, ideally placed to service the whole area from Abergele as far as Prestatyn if required, though we normally operate between Abergele and Rhyl.

Incidentally, I’m Maurice Jacobs, I was the founder of the company in 2001, and I am presently the managing director.

The business was established in 2001, initally as ‘Abacus Private Hire’ a sole trader but such was the demand for a more reliable service in the area, that my son and then another independant driver soon joined me and the business started to grow rapidly.

By March 2003, we had grown so much that we were advised to become a limited company, and so Abacus Taxis Ltd came into being.

Together with my wife, Elaine (pictured top right), who is the company secretary and my co-director, we try to continue operating as a family business even now, and this, we believe is one of the reasons for our success. All our customers know us personally, and we deal with the few complaints we get on a personal basis.
